unlocked the back door. It was a heavy thing, bolted tight, probably because the old man never trusted anyone.

"Come on, you bastard," Lin Fan muttered, yanking the door open with some effort. The hinges groaned in protest, and the door swung inward, revealing the chaos inside. Boxes were stacked haphazardly, furniture was tipped over, and the air smelled like dust and mildew.
